That Old Misty Mid Aired Water Stuff

I rose yesterday to get ready to don the downtrodden and meet the mundane, sounding the similar that seems to have taken over for the past couple of years, squashing the semblance of just about any time not toiled in either a crusted chamber or looming lethargy. All of a sudden in the silent slavery a sounding socking came crashing upon my door. I opened the orfice to find the pencil pummeling me for neglectful nothings and creative crushings not spent. Long story short this blog has been all but abandoned as of late and it irritates to every inch that it's become that way. I'm praying to the tickled tiki gods of graphite to grant some majic time warp back again. In the meantime I guess I'll see what I can do myself. For anyone who still checks here, Thanks, I'll try to post more. It's necessary.

Illustration Friday: "Sprout"

Originally I'd wanted to wait until I had something that more closely resembled a finished image to post for this weeks topic, but I soon remembered that this is the first thing I've posted in 2007, and it's already February. I'll still attempt to complete it, but for now I'm just happy to post something, even if one of them is a repost. Thanks for stopping by.

Illustration Friday: "Peace"

Hope your holiday abode is more peaceful than wherever this one may be.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get anything whipped up for the season this year or not, but I managed to toss something together. Hopefully next year I'll be able to manage my time a little better and post more things at a more regular pace than this one. Thats my wish to the jolly old fat one anyway.

Merry whatever the hell your celebrating right now. And cutback on the eggnog will ya? Chickens need a break too.

Illustration Friday: "Mask"

You can claim that your masking is grand
But it matters like water in hand
When they find you redhanded
And your luck is quite stranded
As your cuffed and tossed in barred pad

I'm not sure how well the above image fits this weeks IF theme, but what the heck, its got a mask at least, so I guess it qualifies, even if I'm not fully pleased with the attempt.

Thought I'd toss a couple other semi related sketches up as well. It's been too long since I've posted stuff on the ole blog, gotta try to work harder on that...

Till next time

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!

Hope everybody had a safe and enjoyable holiday. I spent the better majority of it wandering about town as the kids ammassed more candy than they'll be able to consume in a year, followed by a healthy viewing of everyone's favorite Blockhead. Good times.

If anyone is interested, the above image, along with many other works by talented folks appears in Penelope Dullaghan's "Black and Orange" contest/collaboration

Illustration Friday: "ghost"

Now Leroy did not like to boast
For his courage was much like wet toast
When his eyes saw a mouse
He'd retreat to his house
And swear that he'd spotted a "g-Ghost!"

...I'm still trying to work out some form of detailed color for this one, but so far I haven't been satisfied with anything I've tried to come up with for color on it thus far. Still, I figured it's been far too long since I've posted an Illustration Friday topic, and I was determined to get one in this week. So anyway, here's what I managed to settle on for now. Perhaps the powers that be will let me get something working as far as color for this piece sometime right off.. who knows. Enjoy

Anway, here's a couple other sketches, they're not necessarily ghosts, but I figured they at least remotely worked with the subject...
